Sunny Rock Blowing Rock, NC

Sunny Rock Eggs and Things

Common cure for hunger pains

This week on southern food junkie we continue on with the restaurant reviews from our trip to Boone, NC. While out of town one of my favorite things to do is find an awesome breakfast place. I spotted this place about a year ago while visiting the area and thought I need to try it. So naturally, when we visited this year I told my wife that we need to eat at Sunny Rock in Blowing Rock, NC.

The first thing I notice when pulling into the drive is how small the parking lot is. It was crowded this morning, so I saw a sign that said that the neighboring restaurant shares a parking lot. After pulling into that parking lot I notice that the names are similar. Foggy Rock and Sunny Rock are the names of the two restaurants. They are sister restaurants beside each other. How cool is that? Both are really nice looking and Sunny Rock mainly serves breakfast, which is what we were after.

We put our name on the list and wait for them to call out ” Williams Party of 5″ to be seated. After being seated we ordered our drinks. The waitress was sweet as could be. She brought our drinks out and then got our order. I ordered the omelet titled “hunger pains”. After our drinks come out, I took a sip of the coffee, wow, this is great I thought. The coffee was some of the best I have ever had at a restaurant! Right now on Trip Advisor, Sunny Rock is ranked #8 out of 31 restaurants in Blowing Rock, NC. That is pretty good but I believe they deserve better than that! Make sure you rank them after your visit as this will help their ranking.

We really enjoyed our visit to Sunny Rock Eggs and Things. The food was awesome, the staff was friendly, and even the owner came out and spoke to us. We will be back next time we are in the area. Give them a try if you are in the area too. Let them know that you saw this post and video. Also, do not forget to check out the rest of our videos on youtube and subscribe to our channel.
