Every year I have to go to Charlotte, NC for a MRI on my back. While we are there, I always try to find a new restaurant to try out. My Appointment time was earlier this year, so when we got finished it was not breakfast time and not quite dinner time either. At any rate, since we was in between we decided to grab some brunch! We found a cool little place right in the middle of Uptown Charlotte called The Midnight Diner. I absolutely love these old diners cars and we just had to try it out. American, Greek-inspired comfort food at Park Place Restaurant.
A few months ago I was out with my family and we were in search of a place to eat for dinner. What we wanted was something quick and cheap, so we decided on Showmars in Pineville, NC. Meanwhile, we passed right by a diner that looked like a local establishment. It looked like a place I would love to try. That place was Park Place Restaurant in Pineville, NC. If you are in Waynesville, NC these are 7 Must-Try Restaurants
I have stated many times that Western North Carolina is one of my favorite places to visit. There is something about that part of the Smoky Mountains that has a special place in my heart. It could be the childhood memories that I have experienced there. Or like a close friend of mine said when talking about a restaurant we both have been going to since childhood and now the food has gone down,”It is not really about the food for me anymore but about the atmosphere and tradition.” Either way, food and places we visit as a child hold special places in people’s heart. It is a way of connecting those memories with the past. Even if the food or place is not as good, you still like to visit it for the memories. Each time I have visited Maggie Valley, NC, we also visited nearby Waynesville. Waynesville is similar in style to Asheville, NC, but on a smaller scale. There are many really cool and unique shops located in downtown Waynesville. There just as many awesome restaurants throughout the town too. This is my list of 7 Must-Try Restaurants in Waynesville, NC. Continue reading “7 Must-Try Restaurants in Waynesville, NC”

Joey’s Pancake House offers the best breakfast in Maggie Valley
Every year we make the trip up to Maggie Valley in the fall. It has become an annual tradition in our family. One of the main reason we love going there is because the area is so low key. Most of the businesses there are owned by locals. This includes the restaurants. There simply are no franchise restaurant to be seen. Every year we see new attendants in the old buildings. They come and go. There is one, though, that has stood the test of time, Joey’s Pancake House. Continue reading “Joey’s Pancake House Maggie Valley, NC”

Our last stop on our trip to Boone, NC lead us to a unique place. We passed by this place last year and we simply ran out of time to stop.
