Top of the morning to ya from McHale’s Irish Pub.
Irish pubs have been around for centuries. They may even have the title of the oldest pub/bar. In fact, the first pub claims to date back to the tenth century. Possibly they are one of the first places people would gather for friendly chats, drinks, and to eat awesome food together. This week we step inside Rock Hill’s only Irish Pubs to taste one of Irelands most iconic food dishes, fish and chips. This is McHale’s Irish Pub.
They have a front and rear entrance with a large public parking lot near the rear entrance of the building.
McHale’s Irish Pub is located on Main St. in Rock Hill, SC. McHale’s is located in the Old Town district that has recently been given life due to the new business and future ones that are planned to come. They have a front and rear entrance with a large public parking lot near the rear entrance of the building. The front entrance has limited parking with only street side parking.
Most pubs are known to be a bar and entertainment establishment more than a restaurant with great food but this one is different
After walking in I was given the tour of the restaurant by Jason the General Manager. The restaurant recently received a renovation which includes an upstairs loft area that can be rented for private parties. I then sat down to check out the menu. Most pubs are known to be a bar and entertainment establishment more than a restaurant with great food but this one is different. The menu includes items like fish and chips, shepherds pie, and Corned beef and cabbage. I choose the fish and chips. Let’s eat!
If you are in the Rock Hill, SC area and up for some live entertainment and an awesome meal, stop by McHale’s on Maint St. I am sure you will be glad you did.
