Hey, y’all! My name is Ronnie and it is my goal to bring you the best southern-inspired recipes, reviews, and restaurants from the South and beyond.
I was born and raised in the South, and as a child, I developed my love for southern food. Growing up, I mostly stuck to the traditional cuisine that my mom and family loved to cook. As I got older, I wanted to branch out into other ethnic foods and discovered that I loved their food too.
My love of food shows through my passion for cooking, doing reviews, and visiting restaurants along the way.
When I am not cooking, you can find me outdoors among God’s creations. I love to plant and grow food (vegetables, trees, berries). Learning more about gardening is one of my passions.
I enjoy being outdoors year-round. I am an avid outdoorsman and I love camping, hiking, and playing golf (regular golf and disc golf).
I consider myself a conservationist and I love to hunt and fish. There is nothing more organic than fresh game or fish that you took and processed yourself.
I love spending time with my family whether that is at our church, on a vacation or short road trip, or just hanging around the house.
Some of our favorite places to go are Western North Carolina (Boone, Blowing Rock, Maggie Valley), the North Carolina Coast (Oak Island), South Carolina Coast (Garden City, Litchfield, Pawleys Island), and Eastern Tennessee (Pigeon Forge). We also love the South Carolina Low Country.
