Every year I have to go to Charlotte, NC for a MRI on my back. While we are there, I always try to find a new restaurant to try out. My Appointment time was earlier this year, so when we got finished it was not breakfast time and not quite dinner time either.
At any rate, since we was in between we decided to grab some brunch! We found a cool little place right in the middle of Uptown Charlotte called The Midnight Diner. I absolutely love these old diners cars and we just had to try it out.
Where Is The Midnight Diner Located?
The Midnight Diner is located on E Carson Blvd. in uptown Charlotte, NC. You can see the tall sky scrapers surrounding its location from the parking lot. The Midnight Diner is housed in one of the shiny, stainless steel diner cars. Just like the ones you see in the movies.
I love going to restaurants housed in the old diner cars, it just brings a feeling of nostalgia to my meal.
Diners Are Popular for Party Goers
Just like most diners, Midnight Diner is a 24/7 diner. Serving breakfast all day long. Diners are notorious for party goers looking for a midnight snack. This is usually because they need help sobering up from the hard night of partying.
On the other hand, the party crowd is not all that goes there, this is because the food is usually outstanding at these places. Midnight Diner is no exception to this rule.
What I Ordered
I ordered what they call “The Bubba” and it did not disappoint. The Bubba is a open face biscuit covered with cheesy eggs (although mine did lack some cheese) and sausage gravy.
It came with a side of hash browns that would make Waffle House envious. I have to say that breakfast is my favorite meal and I just love trying out new places, especially breakfast places.
In closing, If you are ever in the Uptown area of Charlotte, North Carolina and looking for a scrumptious breakfast to partake in, check out the Midnight Diner. In my opinion, I am sure it will not disappoint you.
